Guided Meditation Script: The Eightfold Path Journey

Duration: 15-20 minutes

Position: Comfortable seated or lying down

1. Preparation (2 minutes)

"Close your eyes. Feel your body resting naturally. Notice the points of contact with the ground. Take three deep breaths... In... and out... Let go of any tension."

2. Right View & Intention (3 minutes)

"Reflect: All things change - your thoughts, feelings, situations. Nothing lasts forever. Now set your intention: 'May this practice bring wisdom and peace to myself and all beings.'"

3. Ethical Reflection (3 minutes)

"Recall one kind word you spoke today (Right Speech). Visualize one helpful action (Right Action). Appreciate how you earn your living honestly (Right Livelihood)."

4. Mindful Awareness (4 minutes)

"Bring attention to your breath. When thoughts arise, note 'thinking' and return to breathing. This is Right Mindfulness. When distracted, gently refocus - this is Right Effort and Concentration."

5. Integration (3 minutes)

"Imagine walking along a path with eight stepping stones, each representing one factor. See yourself growing in wisdom, ethics and focus through daily practice."
